As we continue to grow, we\'re looking for individuals passionate about upholding integrity and ensuring that our community thrives in a safe and respectful space.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Community Standards Lead, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the integrity of the BandLab platform. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will continuously strengthen our policy frameworks, promote community well-being, and ensure our platform remains a welcoming and supportive space for music creators worldwide.Your key responsibilities include:

  • Policy Development & Enforcement: Evolve our community guidelines and integrity policies, ensuring they reflect best practices, global regulatory standards, and community expectations. Ensure fair, consistent enforcement of these policies across the platform.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks or behavioural trends that could undermine platform integrity. Develop proactive solutions to address emerging issues while balancing platform safety with user creativity.
  • Quality Oversight: Lead efforts to audit and improve community moderation processes, ensuring that interventions are both effective and aligned with the BandLab ethos.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our legal, support, and community teams to handle sensitive escalations, respond to law enforcement inquiries, and manage high-stakes issues with discretion and care.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage community insights and moderation data to recommend improvements to policies and workflows, emphasising maintaining a positive, safe user experience.
  • Team Training & Support: Provide internal teams with training and resources on handling complex, high-risk cases with empathy and adherence to platform integrity policies.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Education: Bachelor\'s degree required, ideally in Public Policy, Law, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in community integrity, trust and safety, or public policy roles. Experience working with legal or law enforcement teams is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of public policy and legal frameworks, with a particular focus on digital platforms or content regulation. Ability to balance risk mitigation with maintaining a creative, open community.
  • Proactive Problem-Solver: Ability to identify emerging trends in online behavior, assess potential threats to platform integrity, and develop proactive measures.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Experience working cross-functionally with product, support, and legal teams to address platform and user risks.
  • Passion for Music & Community: An understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within online music communities. Experience in music-related platforms is a plus.
