Requirements - what you can bring to the role
Tertiary education from any discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a role with a bank\'s or financial institution\'s regulatory compliance program, or anti-money laundering compliance program.
Experience within a top tier consulting or advisory firm advising on matters relating to anti-money laundering, anti-bribery or regulatory compliance programs will be well regarded.
Comfortable with listening, interacting and building relationships with colleagues across different cultures, countries, roles and levels.
Enjoy analysing and managing integrity compliance risk issues and problems which are often grey and dynamic in nature.
Enjoy exploring, identifying and trying creative ideas and solutions to implement an effective integrity compliance program for example in the areas of training and communication, and development of compliance culture.
Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in a clear and crisp manner and present complex issues to be easily grasped and understood.
Possess an inquisitive mindset to fact finding and able to master the details as necessary.
Comfortable with working in an agile, nimble and dynamic environment.
Key areas of responsibilities - what you will be doing
The SJ Group Compliance team is responsible for the running and management of the SJ Group compliance program, which is designed to manage integrity compliance risks faced by the SJ Group in its global business operations including bribery and corruption risks and other code of conduct related matters.
The core responsibility of the SJ Group Compliance team is to design and implement effective controls within the SJ Group\'s operations in the management of its integrity compliance risks. As a member of the SJ Group Compliance team, you will be working with senior team members to contribute and participate in the following:
drafting policies, procedures, forms, guidance materials, training and communication materials;
designing, rolling out, implementing, and testing policies and procedures and various other activities and initiatives under our compliance program;
providing advice and guidance on the policies and procedures under our compliance program;
conducting integrity due diligence on our third party or external business partners;
conducting training;
conducting fact finding investigations;
certification of our compliance program by external bodies.
Your working environment - who you will be working with
The SJ Group Compliance team is led by its Chief Compliance Officer. The team is made up of people from various disciplines, industries and cultures and they are located both within and outside of Singapore. You will be working closely with and will have the opportunity to be mentored by and learn from members of the team who are experienced in the management of integrity compliance risks in the journey to strengthen and enhance the SJ Group compliance program.
You will be supporting our 16,000+ colleagues comprised of 100+ nationalities working in 120+ offices spread across 40+ countries. These colleagues are from the front line such as our business development teams; bid teams; project management teams as well as those working on project sites. You will have the opportunity to work on integrity compliance issues faced by our colleagues around the world including those in high risk locations.
In designing, rolling out, implementing and testing policies and procedures under our compliance program, you will be working with colleagues from support functions such as Human Resource, Finance, Treasury, Information Technology, Communication, and Internal Audit.
