An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Associate Vice President (eights months contract) to join a leading global financial services firm.

This role is based in Singapore and offers the chance to work within a dynamic team, managing regulatory risk and ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, rules, and internal policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide advisory services, handle regulatory requests, review internal policies, monitor regulatory changes, prepare reports, and deliver training.

What you\'ll do: As a Compliance Associate Vice President (8 months contract), you will play an integral role in managing the firm\'s regulatory risk. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing advice on compliance issues across all business units, handling regulatory inspections and audits, reviewing internal policies for alignment with changing rules and regulations, monitoring regulatory changes, preparing reports, and delivering training. You will be expected to work independently when required while also thriving in a team environment.

• Provide advice on compliance issues across all business units independently or collaboratively with other team members
• Handle regulatory inspections and internal/external audits as well as any ad-hoc regulatory inquiries
• Consistently review internal policies to ensure alignment with changing rules and regulations
• Monitor regulatory and policy changes, analyse their impact and communicate such changes to relevant staff
• Prepare and submit regular and ad-hoc regulatory reports, including reports of findings and follow up on identified issues
• Deliver training to both professionals and support staff of the Business and Infrastructure Units as required

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Compliance Associate Vice President (8 months contract) role will bring a strong understanding of regulations along with good knowledge of Markets Trading and Sales practices. Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential for this role. You should possess strong analytical skills that enable you to identify any discrepancies swiftly. A detail-oriented approach coupled with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is crucial. We value proactive individuals who can work independently when required but also have a desire to work in a team environment.

• Best to have knowledge of SGX rules, and/or working knowledge of equities business,
• Some knowledge of general Singapore regulations especially in the areas of business conduct, ops, tech, eg. knowledge of SG licensing requirements, SG outsourcing and technology-related rules would be preferred
• Strong understanding of regulations is essential
• Good knowledge of Markets Trading and Sales practices is required
• Excellent written and spoken English skills are necessary
• Strong analytical skills in identifying any discrepancies are crucial
• Detail-oriented approach with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is needed
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently when required is important
• Desire to work in a team environment is key
