Position Purpose

Compliance COO APAC is seeking an experienced officer to cover multiple activities that support the efficient running of the Compliance department within the area of governance, training and transversal business management topics.

This position reports to the Head of APAC Compliance Governance, Finance & Business Management, who in turn reports to the APAC Compliance COO.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

Management Support
  • Provide support to APAC Compliance COO and management
  • Assist the COO with committees/town halls and preparation of presentations
  • Support the COO in the delivery and implementation of Compliance initiatives
  • Support Compliance management on reporting requirements (eg. census, dashboards, surveys etc.).
Training
  • Ensure that Group Compliance training initiatives are implemented and coordinated for Compliance and Business staff across the APAC region. This includes tasks such as communicating on Group annual mandatory e-learning, co-ordinating with APAC HR L&D/business line Compliance on training nomination, as well as facilitating and organizing dedicated Compliance training events and regional seminars.
  • Work in close collaboration with ISPL Compliance Hub to ensure effective training support provided across APAC.
  • Collaborate with APAC HR L&D as well as Group Compliance Learning and Change to improve the overall governance for training.
  • Coordinate and assist in regulatory requests and IG missions on training and related matters.
Communication
  • In collaboration with Regional APAC Communication and Central Compliance Communication teams, define and deploy Compliance internal/external communication strategy \xe2\x80\x93 including maintenance of Compliance intranet and SharePoint
Logistics
  • Manage the real estate and administrative aspects of Compliance staff seating. Ensure efficient use of space and appropriate spending on premises improvements.
Contributing Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the Permanent Control framework - help to ensure that Compliance continues to contribute to BNP Paribas\xe2\x80\x99 Permanent Control framework.
  • To identify potential process or procedures improvement opportunities. To co-ordinate with relevant parties for implementation.
  • Assist in other areas within the team as needed eg. Finance and any transversal topics as identified.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills
  • Good level of competency in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Good understanding of the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s business model and operations is a plus
  • Excellent written and spoken English is essential
Experience and Qualifications required
  • University graduate with major in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent qualification
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience
