We\xe2\x80\x99re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice President, Compliance Business Control Officer - Hybrid C13 based in Changi Business Park, Singapore. The Compliance Business Control Officer is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99re expected to:

• Good understanding of operational risk and control processes and procedures. Good working knowledge of quality management processes, practices, tools and technologies.
• Drive enhancements to Quarterly Risk Assessment program through alignment with evolving risks as well as changing business needs and policies, and ensuring mapping of Regulatory requirements to the QRA is comprehensive.
• Lead or support as appropriate the root cause analysis of material risk events and control breaks, work with business and functional teams to establish effective feedback loop to augment control management and share lessons learned.
• Provide strong support to the Cards and Personal Loan product and sales team on Internal Audit reviews and regulatory exams.
• Identified key business risk and emerging risk, drive control improvement initiatives to mitigate risk exposure
• Ability to work effectively in situations requiring analytical, interpretative and problem solving. Proactive and dynamic with a strategic mindset.
• Act as SME to senior stakeholders and / or team members
• Excellent stakeholder management skills (e.g. written and verbal communication, influencing and negotiation), able to communicate effectively with senior internal stakeholders.
• Proven ability to influence across products and functions and operate effectively at all levels in a collaborative manner. Demonstrate through delivery of projects the ability to motivate and influence business partners to deliver on milestones and commitments.
• Ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you\xe2\x80\x99d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

• At least 8 years of working experience in consumer banks, with good knowledge of banking products and processes.
• Aptitude and experience in risk and control related roles in first line of defense and familiar with operational risk management concepts and tools.
• Positive attitude to change, constantly looking for better ways to get things done and to challenge status quo.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills; able to work with and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Good knowledge of operation risk, banking products and processes.

Education

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
