Compliance Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive implementation of policies, standards and guidelines on a company-wide basis, in support of the Group\'s regulatory compliance roadmap.
  • Drive market access and licensing activities globally.
  • Provide advisory to various businesses within the company and ensure they adopt adequate measures to manage/mitigate compliance risks.
  • Provide advisory on regulatory requirements to line managers for business-as-usual matters, and general compliance matters to all entities/businesses.
  • Involvement in new initiatives and projects to assess compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for reviewing compliance activity reporting for the company and support reporting of compliance activities on a consolidated basis to relevant stakeholders.
  • Responsible for development and delivery of compliance-related training within the company, including overseas.
  • Monitor significant regulatory developments in respective countries, work with the Risk and Compliance counterparts across the Group to ensure overall compliance risks of the company are adequately managed.
  • Keeping abreast of market trends and applicable regulatory compliance matters including global developments which may have an impact on activities of the Group.
  • Coordinate the development of company views on telecommunications regulatory matters.
  • Support internal business division on relevant regulatory aspects of commercial dealings when required.
  • Handle responses to regulatory communications, enforcement actions and other government inquires and consultations.
  • Assist on M&A due diligence as the need arises.
Requirements
  • Recognized Degree in Law, Business or equivalent.
  • Min 8 years of relevant working experience.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of telco license, laws, regulations and risk management principles.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal, stakeholder management and communications skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work independently across businesses and geographies.
  • High level of professional ethics and personal integrity.
  • Good command of and fluency in both spoken and written English and Mandarin (in order to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates and review Mandarin documentations).
