Job Description

:The Compliance Specialist will support the Senior Compliance Specialist and JERAGM\'s compliance program.The compliance function is primarily responsible for ensuring that an appropriate, robust, and practical global compliance framework is in place. The function develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and processes to ensure that the business and functions comply with rules and regulations applicable to our business. The compliance function also provides advisory support and training to ensure all areas of the business are compliant.The Compliance Specialist will work very closely with the Senior Compliance Specialist to deliver JERAGM\'s compliance program, including but not limited to the areas of:

• Communications monitoring, including ongoing maintenance of systems, providing advice, guidance, and escalations as necessary.
• Trade surveillance, including ongoing maintenance of systems, investigations and escalations as required.
• Providing ad-hoc advice to the business.
• Ongoing development and delivery of the training program, including both face-to-face and e-learnings modules.
• Keeping up with the regulatory landscape, and the impact of changes on JERAGM. This also includes providing updates to the business and the executive committee as appropriate.
• Lead compliance IT projects, specifically for the ongoing improvement of JERAGM\'s monitoring and surveillance systems.
• Working closely with the business in both Singapore and London.
• Collaborating with the EDF Trading compliance teams as required.

The Compliance Specialist should be a strong, self-starter who has solid experience in commodities, communications monitoring, and trade surveillance. The Compliance Specialist will take responsibility for all aspects of the monitoring and surveillance tasks.The Compliance Specialist will have a unique opportunity to leverage off the very experienced compliance team of EDF Trading.There is the opportunity for travel in this role.Note that in addition to these duties employees are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required.Qualifications:

• Monitoring and surveillance experience is essential for the role.
• Experience in a commodities trading compliance role is essential.
• It is crucial for the candidate to be a dynamic self-starter as they will be expected to drive forward their areas of responsibility.
• In line with the core competencies of the Compliance function, the candidate will maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
• Strong relationship-management skills and the ability to build enduring partnerships.
