Job Description

Responsible Crocs Raw Materials Trading (RMT) management, being the main contact point for any trading communications and execution. Driving sourcing strategy for polymers and other chemicals accordingly to company strategies, reviewing materials demand and optimizing through selection of suppliers and consolidation opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible of execution of raw materials trading activities according to the set strategy: screening for suppliers, evaluation of suppliers, review of supplier portfolio.
• Work closely with our Compound Team and factories to understand actual material needs, finding solutions that enable the execution of crocs strategies effectively, efficiently and at scale.
• Actively follow market behavior and listen to market news to review existing trading strategies or to propose new ones.
• Establish and maintain supplier relationships, and facilitate periodic business reviews to continually identify process improvements and cost reduction opportunities
• Build strong relationship with strategic supplier to avoid any conflict or potential risk on the supply continuity, supplier rating and risk management
• Manage communication with customers and suppliers, creating a system to collect OEMs and suppliers\' data. Periodically reporting of KPIs, volumes and costs to the global team, helping for specific cross-check analysis
• The function should be supporting cost saving/avoidance projects with active operation in trading processes executed.
• Support global compound team with analysis and presentations on specific projects, becoming a central reference for periodic business reports.
• Ensures business relationships between Crocs, factories and suppliers are maintained at the highest level of trust and integrity.

Profile

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: University degree with a major in Engineering, Business or Economics.
• Experience: Commodity trading experience background, with at least 4 years working experience preferably within the rubber/plastic trading.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of materials trading workflows and the trade lifecycle, preferably of rubber/plastic
• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Must have a proactive business development mindset
• Fluent in English and able to use Mandarin as working language
• Experienced of SAP, proficient with MS Office Suite with competency in Excel pivot tables.

• Flexible, strong character, willing to learn and take challenges, able to work with minimum supervision
• Good team player, accurate, reliable, methodic, able to communicate clearly across the Crocs organization and to take responsibilities
• Decision Analysis: Good analytical skills with an eye for detail.
• Available to travel abroad up to 8 weeks per year, if necessary, mostly in APAC region, for team meetings or visit to suppliers or trade shows
