Led by a Senior Management Team respected as Thought Leaders within the industry, we help our clients shape, define and implement change in energy markets.What you will be doing

• Advising organisations at the heart of the energy transformation, providing economic, commercial and strategic consulting to energy companies, financial institutions, governments across South Korea and/ or Japan.
• Examples of work can include company and asset valuations for mergers and acquisitions, optimising portfolios from fuel contracting to generation dispatch, developing hedging strategies for vertically integrated energy companies and advising government on the costs and benefits of future energy policy options
• Suggesting model and process enhancements in the spirit of continuous improvement, as you increasingly gain on-the-job experience and become more adept at using our modelling toolkit.
• Helping to build deep quantitative insights into how power market fundamentals, such as trends in electricity demand, supply, and technology costs, impact the value of projects and companies in the markets in which we operate.

Your skills and experience

• You have a good understanding of wholesale power markets, power market analysis, regulation, and market design, ideally gained in the South Korean and/ or Japanese market.
• You have analytical skills with experience in applying those to wholesale electricity market fundamentals, market modelling.
• You have experience in commercial structures, assessing routes to market for power generation assets and designing business models in energy markets.
• You are able to take ownership and deliver results in client-facing environments.
• You have excellent communication and presentation skills and a track record of effective team working.
• You are able to manage projects day-to-day and oversee inputs/ outputs from the modelling team.
• Proficiency in Korean and/ or Japanese would be advantageous
