Job Description

About the Role:
We are looking for a Data Lead with a solid foundation in data science and hands-on experience in the consulting industry, who is also well-versed in applied AI use cases. This role is ideal for a technical leader who can drive AI and data-led transformations from the ground up - from presales and solutioning to delivery and strategy.
You will lead client engagements to design and deliver high-impact solutions using data science, machine learning, and AI technologies such as LLMs, predictive analytics, NLP, and computer vision, while also playing a critical role in scoping, pricing, and budgeting projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Presales

• Lead technical and strategic discussions with clients to identify opportunities for data and AI-driven solutions.
• Own the presales process, including solution scoping, pricing models, budget planning, and effort estimation.
• Craft and present proposals, proof of concepts (POCs), and statements of work (SoWs) for data and AI projects.
• Translate complex business challenges into actionable AI and analytics use cases, aligning with client priorities.

Project Delivery & Leadership

• Oversee end-to-end data science and analytics engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery on time and budget.
• Guide cross-functional teams of data scientists, data engineers, and analysts in project execution.
• Ensure methodologies, models, and outputs are technically sound, business-aligned, and well-documented.
• Serve as the primary data strategy advisor to clients, translating business challenges into technical solutions.

AI & Data Delivery Leadership

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of data science and AI solutions, from design through to deployment.
• Lead teams in building models for forecasting, classification, recommendation, NLP, and computer vision use cases.
• Ensure AI solutions are not only technically sound but also explainable, ethical, and production-ready.
• Guide clients on AI readiness, model governance, and integration with existing systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist, with progression into a lead or managerial role.
• Prior experience working in or with consulting firms or service-oriented project environments.
• Strong expertise in scoping, solution design, presales, and client engagement.
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting, effort estimation, and pricing of data/analytics projects.
• Proficient in modern data science tools and languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science).
