Business Function

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank\'s operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

This role is to collaborate with processing and utility teams to identify, prioritize and deliver actionable, high-impact risk and controls insights across TMO. The key accountability is to successfully leverage AI/ML to establish early warning KRIs for the processing teams and automate the tracking and alert capabilities so that ops incidents are significantly reduced.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the processing and utility teams to understand their processes, areas of risk and controls and identify automation opportunities to reduce the likelihood of ops incident occurrence.
  • Translate the understanding of the processes into SMART Key Risk Indicators focusing on leading indicators that provides the teams to be able to identify warning signs of an impending ops incident.
  • Present key findings to senior management and/or other stakeholders with actionable recommendations.
  • Work with the TMO Data and Analytics team to establish quick wins where feasible while waiting for the longer term solutioning.
  • Work with the Data Chapter team to leverage AI/ML to automate the KRIs and integrate into the processing and utility team\'s workflows.
  • Lead ideation, experimentation, hypotheses formulation and testing.
Requirements
  • Preferably a Degree holder.
  • Proficient in Treasury and Markets products and a working understanding of operations processes.
  • Min 15 years relevant working experience.
  • Proven ability in structured problem solving, process improvement, automation-driven analysis and deriving actionable outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking and ability to articulate with strong presentation skills.
  • Experience in working in an Agile environment is an advantage.
  • Experience in Murex and bank operations preferred.
  • Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
  • A hands-on team player who is able to see the big picture, possesses a can-do attitude and able to handle ambiguity.
