Standard Chartered nexus is looking for a highly talented ICS professional to join our risk management practice. The candidate must be comfortable with working on Information & Cyber Security (ICS) at both the abstract and detailed levels. The candidate will be someone who has a good balance of ICS risk management and operations background. Fluency in financial products, ICS concepts and practice, and the ICS regulatory landscape is a must.

What will you be doing:

  • Be the trusted advisor on ICS matters, to facilitate and promote the understanding of ICS requirements
  • Assists with designing and implementing an ICS risk governance framework tailored to a digital bank
  • Lead and support the implementation of all ICS program management activities
  • Facilitate and perform risk reviews on projects and provides recommendations to manage risks
  • Implement and ensure the bank's ICS standards are adhered to
  • Ensure ICS risks and issues identified are properly risk rated and resolved in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Provide insightful risk posture through thematic and accurate risk profile and reporting including corelating relevant controls and associated risks/controls gaps (regulatory, internal and external audit issues, and self-identified gaps).
  • Collaborate across all stakeholders in the project and takes personal accountability to deliver against plan
  • Implement control processes, perform key control testing based on key control and risk indicators to ensure compliance with the control statements outlined across Group Policies and Standards as well as facilitate monitoring/collection of any key control or risk indicators
  • Lead and support the implementation of processes and tools related to application security, cyber security monitoring, vulnerability management and penetration tests
  • Participate in security incident investigations and coordinates with relevant parties to perform root cause analysis and risk assessments
  • Promote cyber security awareness for staff and customers
  • Continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of ICS processes
  • Lead and drive standardisation and automation through re-engineering and process improvement
  • Participate in partner / vendor onboarding risk reviews
  • Cooperate with legal, compliance and other risk owners to ensure compliance with Standard Chartered policies and regulatory requirements
  • Provide clear guidance, supervision and support to team members through technical/ product knowledge and expertise for their assignment relating to the individual's area of responsibility
  • Provide good technical input and challenge on assignment to steer team member in producing high quality output which address the risk
What do you need to be successful in this role?
  • More than 5 years of relevant ICS experience, with at least 2 years in Governance, Risk and Compliance
  • Strong acumen in setting up risk frameworks, policies, standards, baselines and procedures
  • Good hands-on experience reviewing cloud, application, information and cyber security
  • Good understanding of technology (e.g. cloud and containers) and Agile development concepts
  • Ability to explain theoretical concepts to team members with varying ICS backgrounds
  • Good knowledge of retail banking products and processes with a focus on digital products, functions, features and processes
  • Good understanding of industry trends and developments including impact on the business
  • People leader
  • Strong communication skills - oral and written
