Job Description

Overview:
This hands-on, highly practical role reinforces and builds a smooth efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of our wide variety of internal and external customers.
This position provides oversight and drives continual improvement in the delivery of services to our school community of over 6,000 students, staff and parents.
As such, the Contract Services Manager has shared responsibility for the quality of the schools services and the professional practice of the personnel supporting these services. These services are student and staff food service delivery, student transportation, a retail store with customer service center within the campus selling uniforms and various supplies, our printing and reprographics function.
This person serves as the point of contact when things go wrong and also the engine behind continuous changes and improvements to the services to align with the community's needs.
The successful individual will be proactive, motivated to deliver at a high standard and be able to communicate effectively and bring influence and motivation within a culture that values collaboration over command.
Minimum Requirements:
Degree or advanced vocational qualifications in general management, facilities or related discipline
At least 7 to 10 years of work experience in all areas of operational management in an institutional setting, with 5 years in a managerial or team leader position
Working knowledge of the Workplace Safety & Health Act and the Biz Safe framework would be an advantage
Strong leadership, influencing skills and good business acumen
Excellent verbal and written communication and effective interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical skills and good IT proficiency

Skill in motivating and supervising companies and individuals responsible for the delivery of high quality services in an outsourced capacity
Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels of an organization.
Extensive background in food, logistics, hospitality, retail or institutional settings would likely be found in the successful candidate.
Ability to create and maintain record keeping systems to monitor contract deliverables.

Communication skills to work with the media and and various stakeholder groups to develop programs, facilitate communications and advance the school's interests
Summary of Work:
Manage contracted services to obtain quality products and services at competitive rates to include food services and catering, print room services, transportation operations, retail operations and others as assigned.
Provide oversight to school's customer service center / retail operation
Administer contracted services program according to School policies and procedures and all Singapore regulations.
Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety.
Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence in food operations to nutritional standards for school meals.
Ensure adherence with best practices and Singapore law with regards to safety and sanitation for contracted operations.
Ensure adherence in both food services and bus operations to best practices and Singapore law.
Plan for equipment replacement and ensure proper maintenance.
Develop and coordinate communications and marketing material for the community related to food and transportation services, school retail, and other contracted operations.
Respond to customer and other feedback regarding contracted operations.
Provide direct customer service to educators and parents, and support vendor customer services teams as necessary
Analyze and report on the financial and operational results of contracted operations.
Assess customer preferences, industry trends and current research to develop a long range plan that facilitates continuous program improvement.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators in areas of oversight, and provide regular reports to management.
Manage and oversee key vendor relationships, including food services, school supplies, transportation, print services and school uniforms.
Organize logistics and planning for uniform sales and support of welcome back to school activities.
Bachelors Degree
Minimum of 5 year(s) experience needed for this position
