The Opportunity

• Opportunity to work in a renowned MNC in the FMCG industry. The Controls and Capex Manager will manage the 2 legal entities\' controls and compliance, capex, statistics reporting and overseeing Accounts Payable and T&E matters
• This role will support 2 entities (1 in Singapore, 1 in Australia)
• Monday - Friday; 830am - 530pm
• 9 months contract
• Salary: Up to $7.5k + Bonus
• Location: Central
• Hybrid work arrangements!

The Talent:

• Min 6+ years prior experience in financial and audit roles in MNCs.
• Experience in SOX and non-SOX controls and management of capital expenditure
• Travel - Flexible to commute to Tuas factory from time to time
• Focus on continuous improvement and simplification, learning from successes and mistakes
• Experience in using SAP is a bonus but not a mandatory requirement.

:

• Develop compliance tests to evaluate both controls design and operating effectiveness. This may include detailed testing, work paper preparation, sample size determination, and exception evaluation.
• Manage periodic progress reporting on compliance efforts including status of open control deficiencies (from internal audits, testing/assessments, external audits, etc.).
• Facilitate and follow up remediation of control deficiencies with the appropriate process owners to ensure that issues are brought to logical closure. Help escalate when deficiencies are not remediated timely
• Act as the company\'s contract administrator/custodian to ensure full compliance of the contract policy.
• Upload & monitor contracts in CLM, including the update of contract log for year-end audit.
• Approver for ALL high-risk invoices that are routed to Finance for further review.
• Prepare monthly capex tracking report for review.
• Perform quarterly status update on AUC assets through liaison with engineers.
• Work closely with Tax Manager on the reconciliation of FA register in statutory records vs Tax records.
• Review and approve journals prepared by Senior AP Accountant.
• Review and approve non-PO invoices and payment manual request form prepared by Senior AP Accountant
• Other ad hoc finance duties as assigned
