Overview You will be responsible for developing and testing the Electric Vehicle's control software while working with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities Develop controls algorithms for Electric Vehicles Development cycle includes Software Design, Implementation, Simulation, Testing, and System Integration. Collaborate with system engineers to determine vehicle and sub-system requirements, and implement them into software design Design and implement software/hardware-in-the-Loop testing, Vehicle integration testing Work with the validation team to develop DVP and test methods to check functionalities on bench and on the integrated vehicle. Develop design solutions to control problems applying an understanding of electrical, mechanical, thermal systems. Perform data analysis to improve system efficiency Perform module calibration to optimize efficiency and performance. Analyze CAN data from the field, provide necessary assistance to filed technicians, and recommend software improvements. Support, manage, and release software for various projects Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Qualifications, Experience, Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls and Computer Control Systems Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working on automation and/or electromechanical systems Expertise in MATLAB Simulink & Stateflow Expertise in CAN communication and J1939 standard Expertise in designing Diagnostic algorithms Experience with embedded C code review and development Experience CAN communication tools (Vector CANalyzer, Kvaser, etc.) Basic understanding of Power Electronics Inverter, DC-DC Converters, Chargers Basic understanding of energy storage systems (HV battery) and its controls Knowledge about MATLAB,Python, R scripting Self-starter with the ability to work alone on projects Detail oriented with superior analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to handle multiple jobs and adapt to a rapidly changing work environment with fluctuating priorities
