Job Description


Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely legal advice on issues related to the company operations.
  • Interpret and advise on agreements with project partners and subcontractors.
  • Manage, support, and service existing clients, including preparing necessary paperwork for venue booking and processing payments.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts related to the company operations, including service agreements, event-related contracts, venue operating contracts, commercial rights agreements, and real estate agreements.
  • Prepare terms and conditions for venue use, ticket sales, and other policy matters.
  • Oversee company policies, risk, and compliance.
  • Provide advice on data protection, anti-bribery and corruption, regulatory compliance, and insurance.
  • Draft board resolutions, minutes, and other secretarial documents.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and best practices.
  • Delegate tasks and oversee work to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Participate in special projects for business transformation and growth.
  • Manage tools used by the Legal, Risk & Compliance department, such as data management systems and compliance tracking tools.
  • Strong contractual and commercial experience.
  • Attention to detail and understanding of the impacts and risks of legal decisions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Law from Singapore or another Common Law jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 10 years of legal practice, preferably in corporate, construction, estate/venue management, or sports & entertainment law.
  • In-house legal experience is beneficial.
  • Prior leadership or managerial experience is preferred.
  • Ability to provide commercially focused, solution-driven advice with limited supervision.
  • Strong team player, able to work collaboratively within a legal team.
  • Excellent research, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Initiative and ability to handle complex responsibilities.
  • High professional and ethical standards.
  • Analytical, systematic, and articulate.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet short-term deadlines.
  • Strong commercial mindset and drafting skills.
  • Experience in corporate secretariat matters.
  • Proven track record of integrity, ethical conduct, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to engage a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Resourceful with strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Tech-savvy and proficient in data management.
