Blackstone\xe2\x80\x99s International Finance team is seeking Associate/Assistant Vice President to assume responsibility for a broad spectrum of the accounting, tax and reporting for a treasury center.
Candidates should have minimum 5 years of work experience, including public and/or private accounting experience. Candidates are expected to exhibit strong technical and analytical skills as well as exceptional communication skills. Candidates should be energetic, self-motivated, and a team-oriented individual with fresh ideas and innovative solutions who will thrive on challenge in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Specific Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
\xc2\xb7 Take lead in the Firm\xe2\x80\x99s periodical closing and reporting procedures, while responding to ad-hoc inquiries from management or other business teams. Responsible for preparing any Financial, Tax or Regulatory reports & surveys, internal forecasts and analysis and HQ reporting. Main coverage is Singapore.
\xc2\xb7 Stabilize the transition of Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s tasks to Blackstone\xe2\x80\x99s Center of Excellence (COE) including train and develop COE staff with accounting and operational work
\xc2\xb7 Review recurring tasks conducted by the COE which covers;
- Monthly journals preparation and close processes
- Intercompany payables / receivable settlements
- Monitor and review accounting reports for accuracy and completeness. Reconcile and resolve any accounting discrepancies
- Internal reporting and external regulatory reporting
\xc2\xb7 Involve in the treasury related activities:
- Manage foreign exchange hedging position in APAC/EMEA regions
- Cash dashboard and P&L forecast
- Reporting of investments and derivatives
- Accounting management in WSS
- UAT for WSS or other system upgrade
\xc2\xb7 Coordinate with independent auditors for audits and tax accountants for tax filing procedures
\xc2\xb7 Actively participate in regional / domestic projects to enhance controls, processes and/or system efficiency
\xc2\xb7 Understand and manage Singapore entity\xe2\x80\x99s corporate tax, GST, transfer pricing reporting

\xc2\xb7 Minimum 5 years of Big 4 experience in the private equity industry, fund management or treasury industry
\xc2\xb7 Undergraduate degree in Accounting. CPA or graduate degree preferred
\xc2\xb7 Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
\xc2\xb7 Investments or treasury experience a plus
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge in Oracle and prior experience with Wall Street Suite are preferred
