Corporate Procurement
You will be empowered to deliver real tangible value and savings through strategic sourcing, so GIC can use its joint purchasing power to extract the best possible value from the marketplace. You will also help to ensure that GIC sources its goods and services from vendors and service providers with responsible and sustainable business practices to safeguard GIC\'s reputation.

We are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join our Corporate Procurement team as an Associate.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise closely with internal stakeholders on their procurement needs and budget
  • Provide support on the preparation of category specifications, analysis of tenders, proposals and quotations, to the submission of approval papers and letter of award/contracts
  • Manage the e-Procurement system (or equivalent) and procurement operations e.g. procure to pay process
  • Maintain good records of all elements of the Market Data Inventory System including contracts, pricing, user profiles, vendor uploads and tracking spare licenses for reallocation or cancellation
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with terms and conditions of market data vendors / exchanges agreements
  • Manage vendors\' and suppliers\' contracts to ensure due performance and continuity of essential services
  • Influence and partner stakeholders to ensure governance and control requirements, and adherence practices and frameworks to the corporate policies
  • Develop and sustain collaborative relationships with suppliers and responsible for communicating and resolving procurement related issues
  • Contribute to design, preparation, and analysis of reports and findings in a clear, logical, and concise manner
  • Participate in work process improvement initiatives and projects
  • Assist management in identifying cost saving and optimization opportunities
  • Support the development, implementation and execution of sourcing and negotiation strategies for key areas to achieve short and long term saving targets
Requirements
  • Good degree with 3-6 years of relevant work experience relating to the job description
  • Tech savvy; passionate in exploring and learning new skills and knowledge and applying on day-to-day work
  • Resourceful and has broad knowledge of procurement practices, market data services and vendors management
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and be able to interact with internal stakeholders at varying levels in the organization
  • Strong team-player and yet exhibit independence in driving and delivering business outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage multiple tasks with poise and discretion in a fast-paced environment. Willing to go the extra mile to attend to urgent requests.
  • Excellent written and communication, and negotiation skills
  • Structured in thought process, with excellent planning and organizational ability
