Post Context:
Manila HealthTek Inc. (MTek Inc.) is a private Research & Development company with a robust diagnostic technology pipeline. It develops and manufactures portable diagnostic kits for the diagnosis of selected infectious diseases in the Philippines and in the region. The Clinical Service Division provides services such as; Molecular Diagnostics - introducing various roles such as analyzing biological markers in order to detect, diagnose, sub-classify, and monitor at a molecular level. Microbiology Laboratory Services offers a full range of laboratory diagnostic services, receiving samples from hospitals and clinics. Genomic Testing Services, which performs genomic testing on samples to rule out genetic conditions or determine a person’s likelihood of passing on a genetic disorder. The Respiratory Specimen Collector (Swabber) collects oral/nasal swabs from patients for analysis and testing by the laboratory. The successful candidate will possess the following:

Duties:

• Ensures proper costing of inventory in this blended standard/lean costing environment.
• Assists in the preparation of budgets by completing and analyzing financial data, including collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
• Conducts regular testing to verify the accuracy of system standards.
• Records and reviews cost calculations with management.
• Monitors material, labor, and overhead cost variances to standards during month-end close to ensure the accuracy of financial statements;
• Reconciles and researches variance issues determine causes and coordinates/drives corrections.
• Performs month-end close responsibilities accurately and timely as assigned and in compliance with internal controls Provides information to management regarding financial performance for reporting and management processes i.e., Daily/Weekly Efficiency, Weekly MUV/PPV, and Labor reports, Weekly Variance Summary, Monthly Efficiency, and Variance Analysis.
• Provides frequent and timely support to various business partners throughout the organization.
• Creates and manages complex spreadsheets of inventory data.
• Performs and manages monthly inventory balancing across various systems and locations.
• Prepares root cause analysis for identified deficiencies.
• Prepares, analyses, and reconciles Balance Sheets.
• Participates in physical inventories (prepares systems, assists counts, conducts reconciliation).
• Provides information, as needed, for Internal/External audit purposes.
• Documents policies and procedures.
• Performs other projects as assigned.
• Standardizes and streamlines process efficiencies.
• Ensures continuous improvement in reporting and analytics.
• Undergoes in-house, basic, refresher, and other training as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Professional/Experience.

• A minimum of 3 years experience in Cost Accounting, combined with a minimum of 2 years in any of the following specialist fields.
• Business Analytics, Contract Management, Economics, or equivalent field.

Education/Training.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field. Masters preferred; CMA preferred.
