Description:
Cost Controller
Prepare and manage budget forecasts for projects or departments.
Monitor project expenditures and ensure spending stays within approved budgets.
Analyse cost variances, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for management review.
Work closely with procurement, project, and finance teams to ensure cost efficiency.
Track and record actual expenditures and compare against estimates.
Assist in developing cost standards and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
Evaluate supplier or vendor quotes and pricing for cost competitiveness.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Support in month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost accounting.
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
Financial Controller
Oversees all financial activities of the organization.
Responsible for financial reporting, compliance, audits, tax matters, and statutory requirements.
Ensures the company's accounts are accurate and aligned with accounting standards.
Prepares budgets, forecasts, and financial statements for management and stakeholders.
Focuses on the big picture: profitability, liquidity, and overall financial health.
Often involved in strategic decision-making and liaising with auditors, regulators, and banks.
Requirements:
1. At least 5 years of experience in cost control or financial control, budgeting, or financial analysis.
2. Experience in Logistics Industry is preferred. (or construction, manufacturing, etc.).
3. Strong analytical and numerical skills.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, familiarity with ERP or accounting software (e.g.: SAP, Oracle, etc.)
5. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
8. Good knowledge in oracle or SAP software.
