UWCSEA Dover is seeking to hire a temporary Secretary for the Counselling and Wellness Center, from January to October 2026.
The Secretary will support the day-to-day operations of a dynamic K-12 school counselling department and plays a key role in providing frontline support to students, parents, and staff.
Main Responsibilities
Act as the key liaison & triage point for students, parents and staff accessing counselling services
Coordinate and organise appointments for Counsellors
Supervise students in counselling & wellness areas and accompany students from class for counselling appointments as needed.
Management of counselling area space to ensure a clean, safe and welcoming environment, which may include managing student behaviour
Liaise with various schools and external stakeholders for the effective delivery of Counselling and Wellness programs and activities
Help organise, collaborate and contribute to significant awareness-raising days aligned with the Counselling Department (RUOK Day, World Mental Health Day, Body Acceptance Week)
Responsible for procurement, purchasing and claim forms, & coordinate events.
Maintain and build electronic resources for the Counselling and Wellness Centre and associated community engagement platforms.
Build and enhance presentations (Canva / Keynote/PowerPoint/Google Slides) for counselling workshops
Compile and manage resources such as books, art therapy supplies, subscriptions, games
Record-keeping of Counselling business meetings, including budget tracking
Compiling and synthesising data collected by the Counselling Department to track and alert Counsellors of students in need
Adhere to the confidentiality requirement of the College for Data protection
Adhere and be accountable to school and departmental policies and procedures.
Assist with any other duties, tasks or jobs with similar levels of responsibility and complexity to the assigned job grade as may be reasonably requested by the line manager and/or the College
Person Specifications
Minimum Polytechnic Diploma in any related discipline.
2+ years of relevant experience (e.g. office administration), ideally in a school environment or medical / counselling / social work environment
Able to work cohesively in a team-based environment as well as independently
Excellent English (written and spoken), interpersonal and organizational skills
Must be compassionate, flexible, approachable and willing to assist in problem-solving with children from K1 to G12. Experience in student behaviour management is preferred.
Attention to detail.

Must be pet-friendly as animal-assisted activities are delivered on-site.
Calm and composed in crisis situations
A keen learner who is able to adapt and work with minimum supervision
Highly Proficient in Mac platform and Google suite applications.
