Summary
Build up teams that are aligned with the Lidl & Kaufland objectives to achieve a high level of performance in quality, deliveries and sourcing partners that help achieve the growth targets of Schwarz Group.


What you\'ll do
The holder of the position is mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his/her superior:

  • Develop and implement regional strategy and operating model.
  • Oversee all aspects of business operations across a diverse and expanding business.
  • Work to ensure deadlines are met and budgets are maintained.
  • Implement targeted performance management and KPI\xe2\x80\x99s to ensure adherence to performance goals and set budget targets.
  • Exercise strong influencing skills with various business partners to mitigate different capacity, production, and delivery issues.
  • Develop regional business, proactively suggesting potential new manufacturing partners to Commercial Teams that match the requirements of quality and price to serve the Lidl and Kaufland customers.
  • Build, lead and mentor a performance driven regional management team, especially in regard to our values and vision.
  • Conduct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions to improve the team\xe2\x80\x99s and factories performance.
  • Navigate and lead through local political, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all production occurs in line with Lidl and Kaufland\xe2\x80\x99s strict Ethical Sourcing Policies.
  • Ensure programs & policies are in place to provide the safest working environment attainable.
  • Perform regular factory visits and conduct top to bottom performance reviews.
  • Strengthen relationships with key suppliers to optimize business performance.
  • Ensure capability analysis by factory is accurate and up to date to ensure right product right factory placement occurs.
  • Become a student of the culture, remaining aware of customs and manners always.
  • Ensure all agreed ways of working are aligned across all regions.
  • Produce business performance reports, which could be on a monthly or quarterly basis

In addition to the listed tasks, the holder of the position is obliged to implement separate projects upon request by the superior which result from operational requirements.


What you\'ll need
  • Minimum of at least 5 years of progressively responsible job experience in manufacturing operations and 5 years of progressive management experience in leadership roles is preferred.
  • Desired: Experience working with multi-national companies.
  • Required: Financial acumen/P&L understanding, preferably with some financial qualifications or training.

  • Researching the country or region thoroughly and adapting strategies and ways of working accordingly.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people-management, leadership and both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player able to build relationships, network and establish credibility at all levels in the organization.
  • Be able to recruit the best people and build strong teams that collaborate flawlessly across different locations.
  • Analytical thinker with superior problem-solving skills.
