Position Overview

J.P. Morgan is comprised of four business segments, Consumer & Community Banking, Commercial Banking, Corporate & Investment Bank and Asset & Wealth Management. Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) exists within Commercial Banking and provides loan servicing functions to all four JPMorgan lines of business.

APAC Wholesale Lending Services Middle Office (WLS MO) provides end to end execution on lending services to multiple line of business across Commercial Banking and Corporate Investment Banking. Services provided include loan origination, loan agency, servicing support for loans and secondary loan trading support. Services are tailored to the needs of clients and line of business, ranging from bilateral to syndication.

The role is within Traditional Credit Product Middle Office (TCP MO) team.

Core Responsibilities

  • You are responsible of new and existing credit facilities for loans transaction supporting cross lines of businesses including limit set up in the credit (iCRD) and loan system (Loan IQ).
  • Review Credit proposals to ensure credit terms comply with facility documentations while establishing effective partnerships with Credit team as a key stakeholder.
  • Help maintain quality measures and data to ensure client service standards are met
  • Understand and adhere to credit policy developments and escalate appropriate queries.
  • Own, resolve, escalate exceptions, manage KPIs & facilitate credit monitoring for portfolio coverage.
  • Facilitate and maintain a robust control environment, follow best practice and procedure to ensure no control breaches.
  • Participate in team, regional/global projects with a view to ensure increase efficiency, strengthen controls & streamline processed

Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Bachelor\'s degree with minimum 2 years relevant work experience in credit administrations
  • Strong decision-making skills, ability to identify problems and propose solutions. Exhibit initiative to raise issues to appropriate/relevant parties when needed.
  • Good communication and relationship/partnership-building skills with team members and business partners, with the ability to deliver value-added support in a dependable, timely and accurate manner.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to accept new assignments and challenges in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a control mindset, time management, planning skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities
  • A sound knowledge of credit products, credit policies and credit systems would be a distinct added advantage
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). Ability to use web-based technology effectively

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Loan IQ will be an advantage.
  • Facility documentation knowledge is an advantage
