We are looking for a Credit & Collections - Senior Manager covering East Asia & Japan to provide strategic leadership in credit management with the overall objective of supporting growing sales while mitigating bad debts risks, including but not limiting to close partnership with business and finance stakeholders to monitor customer credit quality and manage objectives for the team.

What you will do:

• Assess customers’ credit worthiness and approve credit limits in line with the delegated approval authorities, including making recommendations to manage risk exposure. Maintain proactive communication with customers to evaluate changes to customers' credit worthiness.
• Monitor changes in economic, industry, customer conditions and work on complex issues whereas deep analysis and/or data requires in-depth knowledge of the company and risk mitigation tools.
• Participate in monthly/quarterly credit reviews with country/zone/global Leaders, collateral negotiation and credit structuring with business stakeholders and support basis and rationale for credit lines and extension.
• Provide leadership in workout/restructuring with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Commercial, Business Finance, Legal and external parties such as banks and insurance provider, etc.
• Drive/implement best practices across country/zone/global credit teams and take leadership position in various process improvement projects.
• Ensure adherence to the Country/Zone/Global Credit Management policy, procedures, and reporting requirements.
• Manage a team of credit analysts and collections analysts, with coaching and development, including ensuring good credit management and career development opportunities and training.

Experience and skills we are looking for:

• Professional presence and leadership with the ability to establish strong partnerships at senior level and to influence key decision-makers.
• Solid interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills and comfortable working with senior management teams
• Good business acumen and solid knowledge in similar industry and customer focus with strong customer relationships.
• Strong financial, analytical skills and credit insurance knowledge with focus on the business knowledge.
• Knowledgeable in documentation instruments and collaterals such as standby letters of credit and bank guarantees.
• Experience in risk mitigation, credit negotiating and debt restructuring incl. workout plans and litigation and recovery.
• Strong Organizational, Problem solving & Negotiation skills.
• Detailed oriented while able to keep sight of the “big picture” and able to adapt quickly to fast-paced environment
• More than 12 years of commercial credit management, including at least 6 years in a leadership role, with proven experience in building/running a high-performance team.
