Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate applications for credit facilities and submit recommendations after making the necessary investigations.
- Schedule and chair monthly credit meeting and discuss any outstanding issues.
- Work closely with Sales Department on the decision to grant credit facilities and collections.
- Monitor outstanding accounts to ensure that credit facilities and terms are not exceeded.
- Conduct periodic credit reviews of existing customers.
- Track guest ledger balances and accounts transferred to the city ledger.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable section. Review Accounts Receivable ledger, high balance report and monitor incoming payment on a daily basis.
- Prepare periodic reports to keep management up to date on the status of collections.
- Liaise with companies for payments to be made within the acceptable time frame.
- Resolve any billing disputes with the customers and follow up on overdue accounts through verbal and written methods.
- Conduct checks on room rates to ensure all rates charged are in accordance with the agreed rates.
- Relieve or extend any assistance to other accounting colleagues in their absence.
- Perform any other job tasks as assigned.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity in the hospitality industry.
- Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills.
