As a member of the Sciences team, you will play a critical role in the R&D to expand crop variety and improve yield and quality of our crops. Your tasks will be to conduct literature review, design and implement experiments, collect and analyse data to constantly challenge assumptions and push the limits of current performance. It is important that you work well with a team and are comfortable working closely with farm engineers, farm managers and business development executives.



What we Expect from you?

• Research, develop, and implement measures to improve crop quality, yield and pest management through literature review of relevant sources
• Design and conduct experiments to determine the effects of growing conditions on plant growth and expand crop recipes for our partner farms
• Explore novel ideas relevant to crop yield and management
• Monitor, investigate and identify problems with plant growth in the lab
• Perform farm operations (seeding, transplanting, harvesting), basic lab operations (sampling and analysis), and managing laboratory

Requirements

• At least 6 months of internship period
• Knowledge in life science or physical science
• Able to research on new information including literature review, design experiments, solve problems using scientific methods
• Prior experience in horticulture not required, but must be keen to learn on the job
• Humble team-player who is enthusiastic, keen to learn and hard-working

Bonus Requirements

• Research experience
• Knowledge in plant physiology, plant pathology or experiments on plants
• Variety in experiences, e.g. internships, competitions, CCA in different fields
