Alstom has been providing 3 major Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) lines in Singapore; NEL and CCL with Urbalis 300 and TEL with Urbalis 400 solution. In addition to those lines; Alstom has been contracted to provide a CBTC Simulation Faculty (CSF) to build the local testing and training capabilities. The CSF puts the TEL, CCL and NEL project\'s new signaling system under additional simulation tests to identify software issues

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Site based Communications-Based Train Control Simulation Facility (CSF) represents the digital twin of the U300 and U400 signaling system. The CSF is used as Alstom\'s system to perform confidence testing, training, reproduction of site issue, V&V and T&C activities as well as external tool that will finally be delivered to the Authority and the Operator. The Operation CSF Engineer is involved in T&C and as well as operation activities for the 3 projects: mainly in CCL and NEL.

  • Designs and develops test cases matching system requirements and use cases
  • Execute CSF T&C and operation activities
  • To perform various tests in CSF to demonstrate signaling system functions in the CSF.
  • Troubleshoot and investigate on faults identified during the CSF testing.
  • Perform testing and reporting activities consciously with quality.
  • To prepare test report for customer submission.
  • To drive offshore team (France, India) for solution deliveries up to issues closure.
  • Co-ordinate with NEL and CCL internal projects\' teams for additional testing in CSF
  • To prepare test scenarios and be able to reproduce the main line site reported issues in CSF.
  • Co-ordinate with CSF Design team for test anomaly analysis
  • Improve the Signaling validation way together with CCL/NEL to ensure the right first time (Rex from Site issue to be considered)
  • To perform customer Training on operation and Maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for site CSF T&C and operation activities.
  • You will be the key interface to use CSF system to troubleshoot issues detected on site and to give customer confidence on our Signalling system
  • Review and analyse test results, reporting anomalies, performing troubleshooting and preparing test reports.
  • Specification and execution of integration test (data configuration of the product and module interface test)
  • Manage test cases life cycle by applying relevant methods and tooling
  • Recommends priority and severity levels on problems faced
  • Work closely with the engineering team to allow specific pre-tests to be performed in the CSF platform to validate the corrections. Participation in Product design review
  • Perform testing and commissioning before operation to understand system behaviour and debug integration issues.
  • To report CSF activities progress and issues on daily basis.
  • Demonstrating usage of the CSF to customers and managers as CSF is a showcase of the Alstom signalling product.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

EDUCATION
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in railways signalling
  • Able to be troubleshooting and issue investigation on site
  • Strong technical background in ATS, ATC and system on signalling project is preferable.
  • Good knowledge in railway signalling architecture.
  • Knowledgeable in common programming and scripting languages is preferable.
  • Experience in software testing and problem troubleshooting.

  • Autonomous, thorough, team worker, curious, quick learner with good analysis skills,
