Listening to customer, Customer Technical Service group, develop, formulate and evaluate in their labs our customer finish product.
Based on scientific approach, CTS is partnering with customer to speed up there development, by well knowing their application in their market and understanding their needs.
As the markets we serve at Roquette are Global, the CTS teams are globally based to better serve our customers around 4 areas (Europe, Americas, Greater Asia & China).
CTS teams develop strong relationship with our Global R&D and our commercial & marketing forces to better serve our customers.



Position purpose: Develop application solutions and innovative formula in the Dairy, Specialized Nutrition and Savoury segment. Support customer request (ASR) via bench test, scale up trials and customer visits.
Position scope: GBU Food / Greater Asia / Dairy, Specialized Nutrition, Savoury

Key Accountabilities:

Lead and coordinate application studies in the area of Dairy, Specialized Nutrition and Savoury market segment, to demonstrate/evaluate functional value of our solution (current product, range extension and NPD).

Develop application solutions to support customer needs, base on scientific evidence, structure/ function value relation

Ensure the right level of support vs business opportunities in collaboration with marketing (MTP)

Create, and animate training for customers and/or go to market resources

Due diligence in keeping trial records with proper documentation to facilitate innovation and protect the value trough patenting of our solutions Participate in customers trials, with a high degree of technical challenge.

Deliver technical seminars on product and solutions at customer's and large group settings.

Manage operation and development of SOP of machine and equipment related to segment.

Contribute to a safe and environmentally friendly workplace and comply with Roquette's safety policies and SOP.

Key competencies:

(Managerial): Leadership, Project management, Able to coach,

(Leadership): technical leader to coordinate and execute cross functional projects

Minimum BSc, Masters or PhD in Food Science, Food Engineering, and Chemical Process Technology.

Minimum 8 years in similar role in a dairy or stabilizer company.

Self-starter with good knowledge of formulation science for dairy

Keen interest to develop skills in savoury application.

Experience in handling processing equipment eg. UHT, Steam Injection, Homogenizers, Aseptic filler, ice-cream mixers, Stephan mixers, and other process equipment.

Manufacturing experience is a plus.Knowledge and experience with specialty ingredients - Modified starch, proteins and sugar substitutes are is desired.

Good spoken and written English. Spoken Mandarin is desired.

Effective team player, independent and resourceful.
