Job Description


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a customer-facing role in the enterprise space and translating customer business needs into cloud-centric solutions.
  • Experience communicating cloud-centric technical content in an engaging and informative manner.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree.
  • Experience in consulting and leading/managing a team working in ambiguity in a dynamic, highly matrixed environment.
  • Knowledge of cloud technology and architectures.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and manage talent and ideas to achieve organizational goals.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to deliver a business/technical pitch to the executive/board levels at large-scale digital and in-person events.

In this role, you will work/advocate with engineering and leverage experience and thought leadership to help communicate an internal and external technical vision, mission, and identity for Google Cloud Customer Engineering. You will align content and supporting materials with a cross-functional group of stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams to help position capabilities, solutions, use cases, and customer references for Google Cloud across the APAC market. You will help provide APAC-centric field feedback to the Product and Engineering teams to help shape product direction. You will increase the visibility of APAC team capabilities by coordinating and mentoring speakers for digital and in-person events. You will work directly with customers to provide executive peering to help shape customer strategies. You will set goals and measurements for customer engineering marketing and outreach impact.

Responsibilities

  • Build, inspire, and lead a cross-functional distributed team of Customer Engineering across Asia Pacific.
  • Lead external voice of APAC Google Cloud Customer Engineering, including press, analyst communities, customers, and partners.
  • Reflect the voice of APAC customers, partners, and field to influence a data-driven vision and direction for Technology, Solutions, and Use Case development at Google Cloud.
  • Assist in the creation, delivery, and review of published materials in APAC to ensure consistency of voice for Customer Engineering.
  • Partner with Customer Engineering leaders, Product leaders, Sales strategy, and executive leadership to ensure messages align with engineering, product priorities, and Go-To-Market (GTM) priorities.
