Job Description


Job Overview:

As a Cybersecurity Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of robust and comprehensive cybersecurity solutions that protect an organization\'s systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop architecture, strategies, and frameworks that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of digital assets and information.

Key Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity Architecture:

Design and develop cybersecurity architecture and solutions that align with the organization\'s goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Create high-level and detailed security design documents to guide implementation efforts.

Threat Modeling and Risk Assessment:

Conduct threat modeling exercises to identify potential vulnerabilities and attack vectors.

Collaborate with risk management teams to assess cybersecurity risks and prioritize mitigation efforts.

Security Frameworks and Standards:

Develop and implement cybersecurity frameworks and standards based on industry regulations and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

Ensure that security controls and measures are integrated into the architecture.

Security Technology Evaluation:

Evaluate and recommend cybersecurity technologies, tools, and solutions that align with the organization\'s security requirements.

Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity trends and threats to make informed technology choices.

Security Policies and Procedures:

Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and guidelines that promote security awareness and compliance across the organization.

Define access controls, authentication mechanisms, and data protection strategies.

Secure Development Practices:

Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security practices into the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Review application designs and code to ensure security best practices are followed.

Incident Response Planning:

Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks for timely and effective response to cybersecurity incidents.

Conduct simulation exercises to validate incident response procedures.

Compliance and Auditing:

Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and frameworks.

Assist in preparing for audits and assessments related to cybersecurity architecture and practices.

Communication and Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, developers, and senior leadership, to ensure cybersecurity is integrated into all aspects of the organization.

Training and Knowledge Sharing:

Provide training and mentorship to team members and stakeholders on cybersecurity best practices and architectural principles.
