Tanglin Arts Studio is a vibrant international dance school based at the Hollandse Club, offering classes for children from 18 months to 18 years. Our community is built on joy, creativity, and connection -- where every child is encouraged to grow in confidence and artistry through exceptional dance education.
We offer Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Acro, and Musical Theatre, following the ATOD syllabus and performance-based training. From first-time Twinkle Stars to advanced competition and performance teams, our goal is to inspire a lifelong love of dance in a supportive, family-style environment.
The Role
We're seeking an energetic and dedicated teacher to join our faculty, teaching Ballet and Jazz across a range of ages -- from our youngest movers to our teen students. Knowledge of Tap and Acro is a strong advantage.
You'll be part of a passionate and collaborative team that values creativity, consistency, and care. This role suits someone who can combine technical precision with imagination -- making each class both structured and full of heart.
Responsibilities
Teach inspiring, developmentally-appropriate classes in Ballet and Jazz, with opportunities to include Tap and Acro.
Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere where students feel seen, supported, and motivated.
Guide children in building solid dance foundations while keeping lessons fun, musical, and engaging.
Prepare students for studio showcases, exams, and end-of-year performances.
Collaborate closely with the teaching team to maintain consistency across programmes.
Communicate professionally with parents and admin when needed.
Uphold studio values of safety, inclusion, and respect in every class.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 2 years teaching experience with children (from toddlers to teens).
Strong Ballet and Jazz background; experience in Tap and/or Acro is highly valued.
A creative and patient teaching approach that connects easily with young dancers.
Professional, organised, and reliable, with a genuine passion for teaching.
Formal dance qualification or syllabus certification (ATOD, RAD, CSTD, ISTD, or equivalent).
Willingness to learn and grow within a close-knit, international teaching team.
Why Join Us
At Tanglin Arts Studio, you'll find a welcoming community, professional growth opportunities, and the joy of shaping young dancers in an environment that celebrates both excellence and warmth.
