Requirements:

RAD Certificate in Dance Teaching (CDT) or equivalent teaching qualification. Strong foundation in Classical Ballet(RAD syllabus knowledge preferred). Versatility in other dance genres such as Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, or Hip Hop is a strong advantage. Experience teaching younger children (ages 3-10) preferred. Experience in choreography for performances and competitions. Background in competition work-- both as a dancer and choreographer -- is an advantage. Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans across different dance styles. Patient, encouraging, and passionate about nurturing young dancers. Good communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues. Willingness to support the school's exams, performances, workshops, and events.

Responsibilities:

Teach Ballet as the primary focus, while also leading/supporting classes in other genres (e.g. Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop). Prepare students for RAD and CSTD examinations and guide them through the process confidently. Develop creative and engaging choreography for school showcases, concerts, and competition teams. Support competition dancers with training, coaching, and performance preparation. Create a positive, supportive, and disciplined classroom environment. Collaborate with colleagues to uphold the school's philosophy of excellence and holistic development. Assist with school events, workshops, and community outreach when needed.
