Remote location(s): Singapore. Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of analytical experience working with data to identify trends and communicate insights/recommendations
  • Experience extracting and manipulating data with SQL or other query/scripting languages
  • Experience in market analysis, return on investment, financial modeling, and/or statistical analysis

Preferred qualifications:
  • Excellent partnership and cross-functional collaboration skills and experience with leading regular interactions & communications with a senior management
  • Experience as a business/quantitative analyst in e-comm, payments, and/or financial services
  • Ability to take initiative in an unstructured environment and a bias towards action
  • Ability to manage and organize work sprints for themselves and a team for analysts, align, communicate, and agree the same with executive management

  • Excellent project management skills across large workstreams

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands. As an Analyst, you will guide executive leaders to make business and operational decisions through data insights. Your work, whether it's analyzing user behavior to drive growth, optimizing product funnels, modeling business scenarios, tracking performance, or building metrics that matter, will be used by our leaders to make strategic decisions across multiple countries. Working across many diverse global projects, you'll get the details right while finding innovative solutions to big picture challenges. You'll also lead projects to influence product roadmaps, marketing actions, tracking, and control processes.
Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of core products and technologies for Google Pay across countries.
  • Partner closely with Payments leadership to setup analytics support for Google Pay across countries, determine goals, and deliver analytics at scale focused on driving growth in multiple markets.
  • Drive visibility into performance for multiple markets by leading reviews, planning, and forecasting.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams as a lead on critical projects by independently frame-working solutions and working with complex datasets to solve non-routine analysis problems, deliver data driven insights, and shape product strategy.
  • Drive the end-to-end analytics stack on business problems, work with engineering team, and build data schemas and elements to ad-hoc insights to experimentation to optimization.
