foodpanda is the world\'s #1 online food ordering platform (website and mobile app), where hungry customers can order food for home delivery from their favourite restaurants, based on their location. Currently, we are operating in 48 countries and territories across Asia and Europe. We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our Regional Data team to help foodpanda make smart, data-driven business decisions.

We are looking for a data engineer to join our APAC data team to help foodpanda make smart, data-driven business decisions. As a Data Engineer, you\'ll be responsible to help build and ensure that our data solutions are optimized for speed, reliability, and accuracy. You\'ll work closely with our analysts and business teams to identify data requirements and develop innovative solutions to address their needs.

What you bring to the table:

• Architect, define and build data pipelines that will enable faster, better, data-informed decision-making within the business
• Ingest first and third party data sources into our data warehouse with petabytes of data
• Curate and maintain high quality data assets that enables our data scientists and analysts to use our data to make decisions and create better products
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver high quality data assets

What\'s on your plate:

• At least 1 year experience in software engineering
• Ability to write clean, structured, and high performance SQL and production ready Python code with appropriate documentation
• Good understanding of software fundamentals, such as data structures and test driven development
• Ability to work in a collaborative and fast paced environment with a growth mindset
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English
• Strong business mindset and ability to grasp business requirements from stakeholders

Nice to have:

• Experience with big data, data warehouse technologies
• Airflow, Terraform, GCP and AWS experience
