You are analytical, technologist with strong experience on ELT and understand the business challenges to help build strategic data products to serve across the organization. You are a team player and able to work collaboratively across global teams.

The base

The role will be based in Singapore, our APAC Regional hub and will be part of the APAC Operations & Investment Services Technology Delivery team.

The team

The APAC Technology Delivery team has recently been re-organized, pivoting to build up our global shared capabilities in Operations Data, Reporting and Low Code here in APAC to support the strategic Global Operations initiatives. It is an exciting time to join the APAC Technology Delivery team as we look to create a new Operations Data platform, adoption of snowflake as a strategic tooling, modernizing our technology stack and harnessing more of Low code platforms to simplify the architecture and optimize workflows for business.

What you\'ll do

• Design and develop data models and data warehouses using Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehousing platforms, while also leveraging Azure SQL and other relevant technologies.
• Create, integrate and maintain optimal data pipeline architectures from various channels
• Ensuring optimal accuracy, performance and timeliness of data whilst implementing monitoring tools to detect data issues.
• Work closely with Delivery Leads to implement the Group strategic Operations Data roadmap.
• Demonstrate an interest in expanding both financial and technical knowledge proactively.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and cleansing procedures
• Work closely with Delivery lead to prioritize backlog and ensure technical debts are being tracked, logged, and mitigated in a timely manner.
• Lead and also be hands-on in all aspects of software delivery in terms of design, development, testing.
• Responsible in supporting the agile teams on providing technical guidance, conducting code reviewing, ensuring adherence to software standards and policies, and mentoring the junior developers where required
• Contribute to agile planning and ceremonies including story refinement, system demos, and retrospectives
• Contribute to Enterprise Engineering community through discussion on technology trends, innovative ideas and sharing of solutions to common issues
• Provide 3rd line production support and where required across London time zone for global applications

The knowledge, experience, and qualifications you\xe2\x80\x99ll need

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience working on C# or Python programming language
• Minimum 3 years of data experience using Snowflake or Data cloud technologies
• Experience building software solutions in the Financial Services domain
• Experience working on SQL or NoSQL database technologies
• Experience working on Azure SQL and other data platform such as MS SQL Server
• Knowledge of data integration and ETL / ELT tools and techniques
• Understanding of data modeling concepts and database design principles
• Experience working with integration of cloud applications on Azure or AWS
• Knowledge of DevOps and methodologies and tools using GIT, CI/CD
• Experience working on VRS (vermillion reporting suite) or equivalent reporting tool
• Excellent critical and analytical problem-solving skills

What will be good to have:

• Experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data integration and orchestration
• Knowledge on shift-left testing and usage of test automation tool
