A leading organization is seeking a Data Engineer to join its Singapore office. This role involves designing scalable data platforms, managing database performance, and ensuring data governance and compliance across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
You will design scalable data platforms and build robust ETL pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics. Key responsibilities include optimizing database performance, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery, and managing upgrades with minimal downtime. You'll enforce data governance and security policies, maintain data quality standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business needs. Compliance with data protection regulations and proactive auditing are also essential parts of the role.
Requirements
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or STEM and has a minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering and DBA roles. You should be proficient in ETL tools, data warehousing, and scripting (Python/Scala), with hands-on experience in MySQL and PostgreSQL. Strong skills in performance tuning, data replication, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) are critical.
