Circles.Life is looking for a Data Engineering Manager who possesses superior analytical skills, energy, drive and attention to details. As a Manager of the Data Platform team, you'll be given a unique opportunity to work with high impact projects and interact directly with senior leadership. The successful candidate will be defining a roadmap for analyzing and organizing big data as well as managing Data engineers from Singapore , Srilanka & India circles offices. As a key leader of our engineering organization, your responsibilities include: Own - All Things Data. Design, develop and implement Big Data platforms using Cloud architecture Setting up a central data platform where all our data will feed in Setting up tools for capturing data from various sources into the central data warehouse Utilize state-of-the-art methods for data processing & analysis. Working with open source tech Data as a product mindset to expand the platform to B2C and B2B platforms Manage and mentor Data Engineers Cross collaboration with relevant teams and stakeholders This is a Hard-Core Engineering role, where a large part of an Engineering Manager's time is spent designing and executing the data platform initiatives with talented Data Engineers, Tuning and Debugging Big Data Systems, Supporting Production Systems and Supporting Business Analysts and Data Scientists. Job Requirements Must-Have 8+ years of relevant experience with excellent coding skills in (Python, Java or Scala) A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant industry experience or equivalent is required. Ability to hire , mentor and grow top talents in Data Domains Knowledge with Big Data technologies (such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Cassandra, Hive/Pig, and Java/MapReduce), tuning, troubleshooting and scaling these big data technologies, where having a curiosity with the internal workings of these systems is key to being successful. Solid understanding of ELT and ETL approaches and knowledge of using either or both in a large scale ingestion pipeline system. Solid understanding of scalable and fault-tolerant pipeline deployment mechanisms and practices including automated ETL testing mechanisms, monitoring & alerting mechanisms, ingestion audit reports etc. Hands on experience designing and implementing Data Warehouse Hands on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, build and release management processes Hands-on experience in developing/designing/integrating using Kubernetes. Understanding of technology methodologies including Agile (SCRUM), continuous integration/ continuous development, and automation. Nice to Have Ability to lead teams for success Exposure in building real-time processing pipelines using Spark-streaming or Flink Exposure to data and machine learning services from Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and/or Google Cloud a plus Familiarity with JIRA and writing user stories. Ability to bring OKR based execution culture Exposure to data visualization tools a plus (Tableau, Looker, Metabase etc.)
