Job PurposeBBC Global Media & Streaming, a division of BBC Studios is seeking a Data and Insights Executive to support the Integrated Marketing team of the Ad sales group in Asia-Pacific. The role\'s key responsibilities include supporting the Advertising Sales team to meet Ad Revenue goals, by providing data/insight support for various business teams. The Advertising Sales team is responsible for sales across BBC owned platforms, including BBC.com, BBC News (TV), BBC Earth , Top Gear, BBC World Service Languages, and BBC social media.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Act as an insight expert across the commercial portfolios within BBC Studios, and use data/insights to form strategic narratives for Ad Sales business
  • Act as primary contact for ad sales requests, providing data to assist media planning process and respond to RFPs in Ad Sales client pitches
  • Act as primary contact to track BBC commercial performance and produce dashboards, performance packs as appropriate, presenting in a compelling way telling the story behind the data
  • Assist Head of Data & Insights, APAC in the planning, executing and delivering strategic, operational and tactical research projects and supervise them from start to finish. These may include advertising campaigns, sector specific research projects
  • Assist Head of Data & Insights, APAC in supervising external research agency and vendors for ad hoc projects to deliver timely and successful outcome under allocated budget
  • Work along-side Integrated Marketing team and Ad Sales team to prepare data/insight-backed brief responses
  • Provide basic research training to new members of various teams so that they understand key research metrics, methodologies and our key positioning points.
Knowledge, Skills, Training & ExperienceMarket Research Experience
  • Professional experience in campaign/advertising effectiveness research is required preferably from media or research agency
  • Good understanding of traditional market research techniques, SPSS/statistical analysis and panel methodologies
  • Knowledge in neuroscience techniques and cross media attribution is a plus
  • Ability to work with external vendors to set-up online surveys and craft survey questions effectively to answer business objectives
  • Ability to generate analyses to enable the data interpretation and insights gathering
  • Ability to identify appropriate narratives from syndicated or bespoke survey data sources
Digital Media Experience
  • Basic knowledge in digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Piano, Adobe, etc.
  • Experience with data science is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of ad operations and how the digital advertising ecosystem works is a plus
  • Ability to analyse and interpret digital data and identify noteworthy trends for business and editorial purposes
Personal Attributes
  • An appreciation of international news and streaming business
  • Ability to influence and manage stakeholders across various functions
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint is essential
  • Ability to manage projects independently
  • Self-motivated, deadline-driven, ability to support multiple projects at a time
