What the role is:The Singapore Police Force plays a critical role in Singapore\'s Criminal Justice System with its mission to protect Singapore and to prevent, deter and detect crime. The availability of high-quality data is important to enable analysis and analytics in support of operations and investigations in the Singapore Police Force. As a Data Management Executive, you will be supporting the governance and use of data for analysis, analytics, law enforcement operations, investigation, strategy and policy formulation. Responsibilities include supporting the use of enterprise analytics platforms; specifying business requirements for data models, ingestion rules and integration rules; developing standard operating procedures for data risk management; and management of data incidents. This is a contract-based position. Selected candidates may be considered for other positions after the expiry of contract if they perform well (subject to availability).What you will be working on:As a Data Management Executive, you will be supporting the governance and use of data for analysis, analytics, law enforcement operations, investigation, strategy and policy formulation.What we are looking for:

• Background in Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, Mathematics or Statistics. \xe2\x80\xa2 Personality: Strong sense of integrity, self-driven, inquisitive, creative and resourceful. Preference to work in a challenging and ever-changing operating environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Emotional Resilience: Able to perform effectively under stressful situations and difficult circumstances. \xe2\x80\xa2 Effective Communication: Able to communicate both verbally and in writing effectively. Adept in using Microsoft Office XP, particularly \'Excel\', \'Word\', and \'PowerPoint\' functions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Research skills: Able to conduct sound research to gather relevant information and apply suitable analytical skills to discover insights, draw conclusions and give recommendations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Analytical skills: Able to logically critique a point of view and think through the issue from different angles, approaches and perspectives to give a valid and sound assessment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Technical skills: Able to pick up coding, in particular Structured Query Language (SQL), to support retrieval and manipulation of data. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge in Current Affairs: Able to appreciate developments in the local and international arenas and how they might have an impact on the Police Force.
