Team Overview

The Data Management department in Asia is a key hub within Schroders Global Data Management functions providing data services to support the Investment management and Client servicing activities across firm. This includes Master Data Delivery, Pricing & Complex Instrument Valuation and Data Quality and Solutions. Working within the Asia Pacific Data Management team based in Singapore, an exciting opportunity has been created to support and progress the provision of high-quality Data Management to Schroders.

We are looking for an energetic individual who enjoys problem solving, aspires to create genuine impact to the business, and appreciates working through technical and operational issues to be part of the Master Data Delivery team.

Overview of role

• Performs team oversight on daily data operations and providing timely updates to the team manager on any issues and risks
• Lead ongoing projects and change initiatives relating to Master data delivery
• Drive continuous improvement efforts to simplify and streamline data operations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate governance over subsets of data related to private assets and benchmarks, ensuring quality across business processes.
• Communicate effectively and build rapport across business units, fostering strong relationships and promoting data management best practices.
• Resolve issues independently, demonstrating proactive problem-solving skills specific to private asset data management or market indexes.
• Demonstrate good understanding of operations risk management and RCSA
• Exhibit strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of high-quality data management processes, systems, and policies.
• Identify new opportunities for improvements in data management practices.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Banking and Finance).
• More than 10 years of experience in data management and possess good understanding in private assets/debt or market index preferred.
• Possess good understanding of Investment Management Business
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport across business units.
• Proactive and independent problem-solving skills specific to private asset data management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of risk management principles and practices related to private assets and internal data is a plus.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
• Experience in project management and working with cross-functional teams is desirable.
• Professional certification in Data Management is a plus.
