What the role is:ISD confronts and addresses threats to Singapore\'s internal security and stability. For over 70 years, ISD and its predecessor organisations have played a central role in countering threats such as those posed by foreign subversive elements, spies, racial and religious extremists, and terrorists. You will be part of a dynamic team specializing in operating Big Data platforms and Enterprise Databases. You will experience the lifecycle of data transformation and management.What you will be working on:

• Manage the data infrastructure to support data analytics on SQL and Big Data technologies \xe2\x80\xa2 Research, Evaluate and Implement solutions to enhance performance, availability and security of data platforms \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts and Developers to optimise using data advance technologies.

What we are looking for:

• Degree, preferably in Info-communications, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related Engineering field, or equivalent competencies will be preferred. \xe2\x80\xa2 Applicants with no experience may apply. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience using common scripting languages like SQL or Powershell will be preferred. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge in technologies like Hadoop/Hive/HBase/RDBMS will be advantageous \xe2\x80\xa2 Good interpersonal and communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical skills and able to solve or analyse problems in a systematic manner \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work both independently and in a team \xe2\x80\xa2 Only Singaporeans need apply We wish to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
