We are looking for Data Scientists (Junior to Senior Level) to join our expanding team!

Bringing the offline to online – digitizing retail and restaurants rewards and e-commerce

ZAP is the leading loyalty and rewards startup in the Philippines. We work with over 2,000 merchants to bring their brick-and-mortar stores online.

Starting from loyalty and rewards, ZAP has pioneered the first mobile number-based loyalty program in the country with over 5 million members. Further bridging the offline to the online gap, ZAP has partnered with the world’s largest e-commerce provider, Shopify, to help restaurants launch their own e-commerce platform. Data Scientist or ZAP:
We are looking for Data Scientists to help support our loyalty, E-Store and data products with insights gained from both internal company data and external merchant and end customer data. The ideal candidate possesses experience processing large data sets to help identify product opportunities, optimize merchant promotions to drive sales and create data models for potential productization of data. They must have the capability to build the company’s data collection and processing framework from scratch, ensuring that this works hand in hand with an existing product, business and administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a pioneer in setting up the framework that will transform ZAP into a ‘data-first’ organization.
• Work closely with Product Management to build various data products.
• Translate data discoveries into a commercial lens.
• Initiate and lead long-term data road maps.
• Spearhead the company’s standard practice for data ingestion, processing and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of work experience as a Data Scientist.
• Attention to detail in crunching numbers and statistics.
• Intermediate to expert hands-on knowledge with Databases, R, Python and MATLAB.
• Solid experience in Data Science and Analytics. Experience building e-commerce/technology products is a plus.
• Proficient with Tableau or Power BI.
• Work experience in a fintech company is a plus.
• Teachable and open to learning.
