Description
Kerry Consulting is currently partnering multiple clients (Aviation, Education, Banking, Gaming) to hire for a Database Engineer.
Role
You are responsible to implement and maintain full operational lifecycle procedures from deployment, to maintenance/patching, backup/recovery and decomm using extensive automation.
You are to rovide 24\xc3\x977 operational support of database systems with responsibility for uptime, overall system performance, identifying root cause and implementing improvements to avoid recurrence, and perform security compliance activities.
Requirements
- Degree qualified, you come with at least 5 years experience in database administration and/or database management.
- Experince in any of these technologies: RDBMSs, Oracle, NoSql, MSSql, MySql, on-prem and/or Cloud (AWS/ Azure/ Oracle)
- Good knowledge of Windows, database backup and recovery (Symantec NetBackup), cluster-failover technologies (Microsoft Cluster, SQL Server AlwaysOn).
- Proficient in database installation, upgrade, maintenance, performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills.
