Job Scope
The Infrastructure Database Support Engineer is mandated to provide project support, L2/3 technical support and resolve Database incidents in line with service level objectives, implement changes (both standard and non-standard) and help in root cause analysis and problems management resolution.

• Provide L2/3 database support to Back-End Manufacturing Sites.
• Provide database support to Application developers/testers to improve, resolve technical and quality challenges through close collaboration with Site Manufacturing Database Administrators.
• Monitor pro-actively on Database performance and capacity of Database Infrastructure across Back-end sites.
• Perform regular health checks for all critical databases with standard dashboards.
• Provide database technical/performance analysis on demand.
• Provide project support and work closely with Database Administrator team ensuring deployment are done as per ST database standards and best practices.

Profile

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification with bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer/Telecommunication; Computer Science/ Information Technology Engineering.
• 5 years of relevant experience with good competence and expertise in System and Database administration (Oracle {10G,11G,19c,21c},MS-SQL/ MySql/ MariaDB) and SQL tools in Manufacturing environment or IT services.
• Good skill/competency in database replication tools such as Oracle Golden Gate(OOG) and native replication tools in MSSQL,MariaDB is required.
• Good OS knowledge in UNIX & Windows Administration such as HPUX, RedHat, Window servers operating systems will be added advantage.
• Good knowledge in High Availability Cluster solutions such as HP-MCSG, Veritas Clustering services will be added advantage.
• Relevant knowledge in SAN & NAS storage solutions will be an added advantage.
• Relevant Knowledge of MES in Semiconductor manufacturing will be an added advantage.
• With good communication and active listening skills.
• A team-oriented player coupled with self-initiative behaviour.
