Manages the Data Center & Batch Operations functions for Singtel Internal IT.

Lead to implement Operating policies, setting the direction to the methodologies, tools and frameworks used in running and manning a 24/7 footprint batch environment, while building strong partnerships with key stakeholders from a strategic and operational perspective to ensure alignment with business requirements and expectations in the organization. This will also include oversight of smart hands and feet operations team to ensure our uptime of critical production data centre environments.

Participate in IT strategic planning and production curriculum. Manage external vendors & suppliers in terms of their deliverables while establishing and maintaining strong, strategic partnerships. Analyse technology trends and support application and business strategy, architecture, and delivery processes designed for agility and cost effectiveness.

• Manage & lead 24/7 Operations Team, responsible for completion of production batch environment to meet Business requirement & ready for business.
• Ensuring strong governance and audit processes are created and adhered to
• Ensuring key Intellectual property and operational knowledge is maintained internally
• Monitoring operational expenses, reporting any variances against budget to Senior Management. Identifying cost drivers and levers and executing initiatives to ensure cost compliance and provide continuous reduction of service cost to business while maintaining service quality.
• Review and report of Data Centre trends for optimal that support Singtel future requirements.
• Execute Data Centre operations and batch environment strategy
• Work with application domain and service owners to meet business requirement.
• Manage the operational activities of a large multi- application domain and batch environment.
• Act as a single point of contact for all other teams when pertaining to Batch Operations environment.
• Plan and ensure schedule and roster in the 24/7 Operations environment to assure proper staffing level is always maintained and meet operational deliverables.
• Participate and engage in BAU and project implementations and new processes and definition of service level agreement.
• Support initiative for automation & enhancement of the batch environment to enhance and uplift the turnaround for timeliness of batches.
• Ensure team and accountable for the event monitoring for data centre environment. This also apply to adherence to escalation matrix and call-out.
• Ensure team follows the incident escalation where incidents are responded to and attended to.
• Train and orientate new joiners and supervision of day-to-day operations as part of BAU.
• Analyse and develop techniques and procedures to ensure optimum efficiency by modifying existing protocols, staffing and methods to achieve increased productivity.
• Evaluate quality of work for each team representative and provide and coaching on opportunities for improvement in all daily, weekly, and monthly performance matters.
• Develop team members to ensure successful performance through coaching and training, and communication of expectation and operational goals.

• Degree in IT or related studies.
• 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in data centre operations in managerial position
