In response to the challenges encountered in the treatment of solid tumors and neurodegenerative diseases, scientists have increasingly turned to interdisciplinary technologies applying Multi-modal OMICS Precision Medicine. Essential to these approaches is the bioinformatic integration of diverse data and the creation of specialized analyses. The Bioinformatics team is at the forefront of this scientific pursuit, dedicated to advancing our understanding of disease biology and addressing the complexities of these diseases.We are seeking highly motivated and talented Masters students to conduct their Capstone Project with our Bioinformatics team. You will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research where you will integrate Precision Multi-modal OMICS data (proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, transcriptomics) and leverage AI/ML tools to gain a deeper understanding of biology\xe2\x80\x94with the end goal of tackling clinically challenging diseases. Through using our advanced Mass Spectrometry and Bioinformatics platform, you will play an important role in understanding disease biology and in making a positive impact on patient outcomes.Your Role May Entail:

  • Integrating spatial multi-modal OMICS data and applying advanced algorithms to gain insights into disease mechanisms in precision medicine.
  • Utilizing AI/ML tools to analyze high-dimensional datasets and extract meaningful information.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement user-centric software solutions for bioinformatics projects.
  • Interpreting and visualizing complex biological data to derive actionable insights.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of internal databases and bioinformatics tools.

  • Background in or experience with Biology or adjacent fields. Experience with Mass Spectrometry would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Python is essential, at the level of functions, classes, pandas, and matplotlib/seaborn. Familiarity with R language is a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in coding and data analysis, with the ability to perform statistical analysis using multiple linear regression, linear models, and statistical tests.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, along with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
