Depot Ground Coordinator, NSEWL








Job Purpose



The Depot Ground Coordinator will be required to perform the role of Possession Master for depot track access works. He or she is to ensure work parties\xe2\x80\x99 safety and their compliance to rules and procedures during the track access.


Responsibilities

• Perform the role of Possession Master for depot track access works or as assigned by Depot Ground Coordinator Executive.
• Confirm protections granted to work party in the system according to Depot Engineering Work Requests (EWR) meeting
• Verify all safety protections on-site are installed correctly by Person-In-Charge (PIC) / work party.
• Ensure compliance of PICs to depot track access procedures
• Conduct toolbox briefing to work party under his or her charge
• Assist and guide PICs / Work Party on the specific locations to install protection equipment or deployment of manpower, like SCDs, RRBCs, SLBs/RFL and LOM, as well as the entry and exit points for the work sector.
• Ensure all PICs / Work parties have removed all protections and booked out before surrendering Track Occupancy Authorisation (TOA).
• Pre and Post Equipment Check, such as for SCD, RRBC, Voltmeter, High Voltage Glove
• Support depot contingency plans during exigencies
• Checking fitness of work parties
• Perform safety minder role in the train cabin to ensure train operator compliance to operating procedures
• Conduct of depot infrastructure and facilities check
• The list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Diploma or Higher NITEC in Engineering
• Experience in related disciplines

Skills and Competencies

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Good inter-personal and communication skills, able to work independently as well as in a team environment with individuals of diverse backgrounds
• Detail-orientated and highly organized
• Good time-management skills
• Must be highly motivated and able to work under pressure and handle stress
• Must be safety-conscious and never compromise safety
• Fluently conversant in English language
