What the role is
DEPUTY / ASSISTANT ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER
What you will be working on
At LTA, we care about the environment we work and live in. We build, keeping in mind that we have to preserve the environment around us. You will play a key role in our drive for environmental excellence and provide expert advice, coming up with creative solutions to resolve environmental challenges. You will maintain the Environmental Management Systems (e.g. ISO14K EMS, EIA procedures and information management systems) and provide advisory support to the Engineering and Project Teams (e.g. scope EIA, review of environmental plans, conduct site audits and coordinate with regulatory agencies). To enhance the environmental awareness of our staff and stakeholders, you will conduct training sessions, organise promotional events and contribute papers / articles. You should also possess good interpersonal skills as you will need to work closely with our vendor partners and external stakeholders. Looking beyond the here and now, you will conduct research to gather insights on the latest environmental trends and developments.
What we are looking for
Requirements: • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering or equivalent • Passion for environmental issues and developing creative environmental solutions • Effective writing and presentation skills • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Experience conducting and / or reviewing EIA is preferred
