What the role is:This is a 2-year contract position as a Deputy Chief Information Officer in the Digital Services & Technology Office.What you will be working on:Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:Alignment of the NP\'s workplan to higher-level objectives. Review ICT initiatives and programmes, identify opportunities to harmonise IT applications, to achieve alignment with the over-arching ICT infrastructures and architecture.Strategic partnership with senior management to understand their issues and help promote / influence directions.Monitor effectiveness of site performance and pre-empt problems.Facilitate synergies with other entities within GovTech and beyond.Manage the deployment of staff effectively and strategically to fulfil resource requirements.Coach/mentor staff, identify high potential talent and hone their capabilities, drive staff development opportunities, coordinate and integrate efforts with the objective of attracting and retaining a motivated and high-performing team.What we are looking for:Graduate degree in computer science or related discipline with relevant ICT experience15 years\' experience with at least 7 years in management capacityExperience in the public sector or robust ICT experience in the private sector, preferably in the development, implementation and deployment of ICT plans and activitiesKnowledge of ICT operations in public and private sectorsExperience in the setup and running of an Agile project development team, particularly with the use of low-code platforms for project implementation.Strategic thinking skills with broad perspective of different issuesStrong negotiation and influencing skillsTertiary education/training in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology or Computer Science with proven work experience and skillsets.Ability to work individually or with multi-functional, multi-disciplined teams to formulate, institute real time awareness of security posture and baseline.At least 3 years of demonstrated management experience related to information security and solid grasp of ICT operations, security policies, business processes and the relationship between them.Highly motivated to keep abreast with the latest development in cybersecurity technology and acquire deep technical skills and knowledge.Good interpersonal, planning and leadership skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Positive attitude & collaborative mindset.About Ngee Ann Polytechnic:At Ngee Ann Polytechnic, our nine academic schools offer over 40 full-time diplomas to a growing student population of more than 15,000.
