Job Description

This role reports to the Chief Risk Officer and will lead a team of risk professionals and partners in managing the Enterprise-wide risk management programme for the Group. The CRO Office at A*STAR is responsible for assisting the CEO & Board in ensuring good governance & stewardship for the resources available to it for delivery of research excellence in the medium to long term. It does this by implementing policies, systems & monitoring of key parameters in the organisation. These include strategy, finance, impact, regulatory, business continuity, IT and data to name afew.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a fit-for-purpose ERM strategy, framework and methodology, and translate them into implementation plans
• Drive and facilitate the implementation and adoption of the risk management framework, programmes, and processes across the organisation
• Collaborate closely with the entities and functional leads to facilitate effective identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of risks
• Oversee the periodic reporting of risks to the management and senior stakeholders
• Develop a centre of excellence for risk matters within the team, and build risk management capabilities and awareness across the organisation
• Promote and develop a culture that embraces the management of risks

Qualification, Experiences

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification)
• At least 15 years of relevant working experience in governance, risk or controls position
• Strong team player with experience leading and managing teams
• Extensive knowledge on leading risk management practices, standards and internal controls
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Good stakeholders' management and analytical skills
• A highly motivated leader who is resilient and resourceful
